Importing templates from Meta
In one sentence
If your WhatsApp Business Account already has approved templates, MsgBuddy can pull them in so you can use them immediately — no need to recreate and re-submit.
When you’d use this
- You (or an agency) already set up templates directly in Meta.
- You’re switching to MsgBuddy and want your existing, approved messages ready on day one.
The first time you connect your number, MsgBuddy already imports your existing approved templates automatically. This page is for pulling in new ones you added at Meta later, or re-syncing if something looks out of date.
Step by step
Open the importer
Go to Settings → WhatsApp → Import from Meta (also reachable from the Templates area).
Review what’s available
MsgBuddy lists the templates found on your WhatsApp Business Account, with their categories and approval status.
Import the ones you want
Select the templates to bring in and confirm. They appear in your Templates list, ready to use in the Inbox and Campaigns.
After importing, open a couple of templates to check their variables and sample values look right in MsgBuddy. Imported templates keep Meta’s approval, so approved ones are immediately sendable.
