Business hours
In one sentence
Tell MsgBuddy when you’re open, and it can automatically reply differently when you’re closed — so no message goes unanswered overnight.
Why set them
Business hours power the out-of-hours automation. Without them, MsgBuddy can’t tell “we’re closed” from “we’re just slow to reply.” With them, a late-night message gets an instant, honest “we’ll be back at 9” instead of silence.
How to set them
- Go to Settings → Business hours.
- Set your open days and times for each day of the week.
- Confirm your timezone is correct (it comes from your business profile).
- Save.
Business hours are timezone-aware. If you set 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and your workspace timezone is Asia/Kolkata, that’s 9-to-6 in India — a customer messaging at 2 a.m. India time gets the after-hours reply regardless of where they are.
Match your hours to reality, including lunch breaks or weekly closures. An accurate “we’re closed” that promises when you’ll return builds more trust than a cheery auto-reply at midnight that never gets followed up.
How this connects
- Directly powers the Out-of-hours automation rule.
- Uses your workspace timezone (the same one that drives scheduled campaigns and subscription reminders).
