Agent

A role for front-line teammates who handle their own conversations. Also, informally, anyone answering chats.

Authentication (template category)

A template category for one-time passcodes and login codes.

Autopay

Automatic wallet top-ups for subscriptions, via a Razorpay mandate.

Broadcast

Sending one message to many people at once — in MsgBuddy, a Campaign.

Campaign

A bulk send of one approved template to an audience.

Canned response

A saved reply snippet you insert with / in the Inbox.

Catalog

Your product list, kept at Meta and mirrored into Commerce to show in chats.

Channel

A doorway messages travel through — WhatsApp, Telegram, Email, or SMS.

Cloud API

Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform that MsgBuddy uses under the hood.

Contact

One person you talk to, identified by phone number.

Control owner

Who’s “driving” a conversation — human, flow, or AI. See Who answers?.

Conversation

The message thread with one contact on one channel, in the Inbox.

Custom field

A structured detail you define on contacts (City, Plan…). See organising.

Cycle

A single day’s delivery in a subscription.

E.164

The international phone number format (+ country code + number). See Contacts.

Embedded Signup

Meta’s guided pop-up for connecting your WhatsApp number.

Flow

A visual, multi-step chatbot conversation.

Idempotency key

A token that stops an API send from happening twice on retry.

Inbound / Outbound

A message from a customer (inbound) or to a customer (outbound).

Knowledge base

The documents the AI assistant draws answers from.

Lifecycle stage

Where a contact sits in your funnel: Lead → … → Customer. See stages.

Marketing (template category)

Promotional templates; the most rule-restricted.

MPM (Multi-Product Message)

A chat message showing several products at once.

Opt-out

A customer’s request to stop receiving messages; enforced automatically. See compliance.

PWA

A Progressive Web App you can install without an app store.

Quality rating

Meta’s grade (🟢🟡🔴) for your number’s messaging health. See Connect WhatsApp.

Razorpay

The payments provider behind subscription autopay (India).

Role

A teammate’s permission level. See the matrix.

Run / Job

A campaign’s single send attempt (run) broken into per-contact pieces (jobs).

Segment

A saved filter that selects a group of contacts.

Session window

SPM (Single-Product Message)

A chat message showing one product.

System User (token)

A Meta “service account” credential that authorises Commerce catalog access.

Tag

A simple label on a contact.

Template

A pre-approved message for reaching out first or after 24 hours. See Templates.

24-hour window

The 24 hours after a customer messages you, during which you can reply freely. The single most important rule — see The 24-hour window.

WABA (WhatsApp Business Account)

Your official business account with Meta, holding your number(s) and templates.

Wallet

A subscriber’s prepaid balance for subscription deliveries.

Webhook

A real-time event MsgBuddy sends to your software. See Webhooks.

Workspace

Your business’s private space in MsgBuddy — the tenant boundary.
