Danger zone
Everything on this page is destructive and hard (or impossible) to undo. These actions are Owner-only for good reason. Read carefully and be sure before you act.
In one sentence
The Danger zone holds the workspace’s irreversible actions — archiving the workspace and purging contacts — kept separate so you never trigger them by accident.
Purge contacts
Permanently deletes contact data from the workspace. Use this for genuine data-deletion requests or to clear out a test workspace.
Purged contacts are gone — along with the context attached to them. Export a backup first if there’s any chance you’ll need the data.
Archive the workspace
Shuts down the workspace. Use this when you’re closing a brand or an agency client that’s no longer active.
Before you use anything here
A quick safety checklist:
- Export what you might need (contacts, and note any templates/settings).
- Tell your team — others may be relying on this workspace.
- Double-check you’re in the right workspace — glance at the workspace switcher in the sidebar footer.
- Only then proceed.
Who can do this
Only the Owner. Admins and everyone else won’t even see these controls — see roles.
If you just want a fresh start without losing everything, consider creating a new workspace instead of purging or archiving this one. It’s free of risk and keeps your data intact.
How this connects
- Relates to opt-out & compliance (data deletion).
- Workspaces are explained in Getting Started.
