Apps — desktop, mobile & PWA
In one sentence
Beyond the browser, MsgBuddy comes as a desktop app (Mac & Windows), a mobile app, and an installable web app (PWA) — so your team can work wherever they are.
Your options
| Option | Best for | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Web app | Full features at your desk | Just visit app.msgbuddy.com |
| Desktop app | A dedicated window, tray icon, fewer distractions | Download and install for Mac/Windows |
| Mobile app | Handling chats away from your desk | From your device’s app store |
| PWA | An app-like feel without installing anything | ”Install” prompt in your browser |
The desktop app
The desktop app is a focused window around the same MsgBuddy you know, with a system tray icon so it’s always a click away. Signing in uses your system browser for security — you click “sign in”, approve in the browser, and it hands you back to the app automatically.
The desktop app shows the same web experience in its own clean window — so everything in this handbook applies there too. No separate learning curve.
The mobile app
The mobile app is aimed at agents on the move — reading and replying to conversations, handling assignments, and staying on top of the inbox from your phone. It brings the core inbox experience to a small screen.
Install as a PWA
Prefer not to install anything from a store? MsgBuddy can be added to your home screen or desktop as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — it opens in its own window and behaves like a native app. Look for the Install prompt in your browser.
A common setup: the desktop app at the shop counter for all-day inbox work, and the mobile app or PWA on the owner’s phone for quick checks after hours. Same account, same data, everywhere.
How this connects
- Every app is a window onto the same workspace and data — sign in and you’re in.
- Notifications (including push) keep you alerted across devices — see the top bar’s notifications.
